It says it’s general purpose 1120 joules. It also says ideal for coffee machines and toasters. Is this okay to use for a surge suppressor for my treadmill? If you need any more information about the treadmill or the surge protector please let me know. I don’t want to use it and it be the wrong one. Thanks.

Any surge protector will work with any equipment. The higher the joule rating, the larger a spike it can soak up, and ~1100 isn’t a shabby rating for something like protecting a treadmill from lightning strikes.

BTW, coffee machines and toasters don’t generally need a surge suppressor, though I guess a $300 gourmet machine might merit one.

Check the wattage rating required for your Treadmill. You should get a suppressor rated HIGHER than the wattage needed for your Treadmill or it will be tripping constantly!
You can put the wattage into this calculator to convert to joules per second.

I suspect 1120 is way way too low! Treadmill motors may well need more.
