I think the problem with treadmills is it's easier to get off and be done for the day.

My biggest problem is that my cat wants to get on with me while I'm walking.

my best advice would be to get used to the treadmill first then speed up, if your using a program where there is a change in speed or incline pay attention.

ughh i **** treadmills...so inaccurate and annoying. but yeah it takes a bit of practice to get used to them, just try going at slow, safe speeds just to get used to it, then bump up the speed to actually do a workout when you get used to it. also, as a safety percaution, there is usually a clip connected to the treadmill that attaches to your waist so that if you fall, the treadmill will stop - wear that.

but yeah i **** treadmills with a passion, so my best advice would just be not to use one. go run outside, listen to music, look at the nature, hear the birds sing, dont waste your time inside...
